OTA, Japan — October 17, 2026 — New signing DeJon Jarreau made an immediate impact in his Alvark Tokyo debut, contributing 13 points and a team-high five assists as Tokyo defeated the Gunma Crane Thunders 100–86 in a B.LEAGUE PREMIER Eastern Conference showdown at OPEN HOUSE ARENA OTA on Saturday.

With both teams entering the contest at 6–1, the matchup provided an early test between two of the conference’s leading contenders.

Tokyo’s outstanding offensive efficiency ultimately proved decisive, but Jarreau’s arrival added another intriguing dimension to an already talented roster.

Jarreau Brings Versatility to Tokyo’s Backcourt

Playing 20 minutes and 58 seconds off the bench, Jarreau finished with 13 points, five assists and two rebounds, shooting 50 percent from the field.

The 196cm guard, who previously played in the NBA with the Indiana Pacers and Memphis Grizzlies, demonstrated his ability to contribute beyond scoring.

His five assists led Tokyo, highlighting the playmaking skills that could become increasingly valuable as he develops chemistry with his new teammates.

Jarreau also converted five of his six free-throw attempts, providing an additional scoring option in a highly efficient offensive performance.

His debut offered an encouraging glimpse of how his combination of ball-handling, offensive versatility and defensive experience could strengthen Tokyo’s rotation.

Johnson and Hogg Lead the Scoring

While Jarreau attracted attention in his first appearance, Keionte Johnson delivered another dominant offensive display.

Johnson scored a game-high 30 points, converting 14 of 15 free throws and shooting 53.8 percent from the field.

D.J. Hogg added 22 points and six rebounds, connecting on four of six attempts from three-point range.

Together, Johnson and Hogg combined for 52 points, creating consistent pressure on Gunma’s defense.

Tokyo shot an impressive 55.4 percent from the field and 52.2 percent from beyond the arc, making 12 three-pointers while converting 26 of 28 free throws.

Gunma Battles Behind Stanley Johnson

For Gunma, Stanley Johnson led the team with 22 points, 10 rebounds and four assists.

Kerry Blackshear Jr. contributed 17 points and seven rebounds, while Trey Jones added 15 points.

Despite winning the rebounding battle 34–30, Gunma struggled to contain Tokyo’s offensive efficiency.

The Crane Thunders shot 41.2 percent from the field and 31.4 percent from three-point range, unable to match Tokyo’s consistent scoring production.

A Promising Start for Tokyo’s Newest Addition

Tokyo’s 100-point performance against a strong Eastern Conference opponent highlighted the team’s offensive potential.

More importantly, Jarreau’s debut provided an early indication of the additional versatility he could bring to the lineup.

With Johnson and Hogg already established as major scoring threats, Jarreau’s ability to create opportunities for teammates gives Tokyo another valuable option as the season progresses.

For Alvark Tokyo, the victory was another important step in a promising start to the B.LEAGUE PREMIER campaign — and for Jarreau, it marked an encouraging beginning to a new chapter in Japan.
