MATCH REPORT

KAWASAKI, Japan — October 10, 2026

Alvark Tokyo defeated the Kawasaki Brave Thunders 94–82 on Saturday at Tokyu Dresse Todoroki Arena, breaking open a tightly contested game after the teams entered halftime tied at 43–43.

The victory ended Kawasaki’s two-game winning streak and highlighted Alvark Tokyo’s ability to produce a stronger second half against an opponent that had matched them throughout the opening 20 minutes.

Kawasaki Matches Tokyo in Competitive First Half

Kawasaki entered the contest looking to build on consecutive victories against Altiri Chiba and Akita Northern Happinets.

The home side showed encouraging signs in the opening half, particularly through its frontcourt.

Jayden LeDee led Kawasaki with 13 points and eight rebounds before halftime, shooting an efficient 5-for-7 from the field. Matt Bonds added 11 points and seven rebounds, giving Kawasaki a productive inside combination.

Kawasaki also demonstrated effective ball movement, recording 13 assists against just two turnovers in the first half.

Despite those advantages, Alvark Tokyo remained level at 43–43.

Johnson Leads Tokyo’s First-Half Offense

Keonte Johnson provided Alvark Tokyo with a strong offensive presence, scoring 15 first-half points on 5-for-8 shooting.

Shuto Ando added 11 points, including three three-pointers, while Kai Toews contributed 10 points.

Tokyo’s offensive efficiency inside the arc was particularly impressive. The visitors converted 62.5 percent of their two-point attempts in the first half, compared with Kawasaki’s 44.8 percent.

Kawasaki held advantages in rebounding and three-point shooting, but Tokyo’s ability to convert opportunities closer to the basket kept the contest even.

Alvark Tokyo Takes Control After Halftime

With the score tied at the break, the second half became decisive.

Alvark Tokyo outscored Kawasaki 51–39 over the final 20 minutes, turning a balanced contest into a 12-point road victory.

For Kawasaki, the defeat represented a missed opportunity to extend its winning streak against one of the Eastern Conference’s leading teams.

The result also demonstrated the challenge facing Kawasaki’s rebuilt roster as it continues to develop consistency under head coach Dai Oketani.

Kawasaki’s Offensive Balance Remains a Key Question

One of the most interesting aspects of Kawasaki’s first-half performance was the contrasting contributions of its guards and frontcourt players.

Muhammad-Ali Abdur-Rahkman, who entered the game as one of Kawasaki’s leading offensive contributors, scored just two points on 1-for-6 shooting in the opening half. However, he recorded five assists, continuing to influence the offense through his playmaking.

Meanwhile, LeDee and Bonds combined for 24 first-half points and 15 rebounds.

Kawasaki’s challenge moving forward will be to combine that interior production with consistent perimeter scoring while maintaining its defensive intensity throughout all four quarters.

Looking Ahead

The loss leaves Kawasaki with a 2–4 record, while Alvark Tokyo improves to 5–1.

Although the final margin favored the visitors, Kawasaki’s competitive first half offered signs of potential.

For Alvark Tokyo, the result was another important early-season victory as the club continues its pursuit of success in the B.LEAGUE PREMIER.
